Verges - Forming A Fully Adhered Verge In Single Ply Roofing Membranes

The video shows how to terminate Monarplan GF Fleeceback single ply membrane to a coated metal drip trim at a roof edge / verge incorporating Monarplan Reinforced Strip.

Video Transcript

Mechanically fix the prefabricated coated metal above the Monarplan GF Fleeceback single ply roofing membrane.

Strap the butt joint between the 2 sections of coated metal using Monarplan D, leaving a 5mm gap between lengths

Position Monarplan Reinforced Strip, ensuring an adequate lap on the coated metal and the underlying membrane. Unroll and cut to the appropriate length.

Pre-weld the Monarplan Reinforced Strip to the coated metal and Monarplan GF Membrane.

Fully weld the reinforced strip to the coated metal. At the butt joint detail, use a penny roller to crease the membrane into the cross joint ensuring a good weld.

Continue to weld, again using a penny roller at all cross joints. Complete the detail by welding the opposite edge to the underlying Monarplan single ply roofing
